Lady Thrillington Book 3 - Available Tomorrow

Out tomorrow, Lady Thrillington book 3. Available from Amazon initially.

A Lady Thrillington Adventure: Terror at the Museum

Lady Thrillington never could resist a challenge; but an unbreakable lock on an ancient Egyptian artefact stored in the British Museum, might be one step too far. Trouble soon finds the spirited heroine as an ancient curse comes to life, and an old threat returns to silence her once and forever. Only her faithful manservant, Jeffers and the best of the Metropolitan Police can save her; but something dark and twisted exists below the city streets, and it has woken up.

An adventure of ancient curses, tentacles and threats to a mechanical Empire.

Terror at the Museum

I'm glad to announce that the new Lady Thrillington novella, entitled "Terror at the Museum," is on its way from Wild Frontier Press.

Hopefully it should be out in time for the summer.

Watch out of it!

A Dull Blog Entry (written to prove I still exist)

So went on hiatus there, what with busy work commitments that took me to Cork, Seattle and Barcelona over three weeks, plus a quick trip to Iceland to see the funny lights in the sky.

Finally back at my desk and beavering away with final edits on Lady Thrillington 3 and starting the first draft of what will be Juvie 3 (no title at the moment). I'm also pulling together a website for Wild Frontier Press, which will be a new home for this blog and allow me to be a little bit better at marketing my works - which I'm terrible at and need to improve because no one knows the work exists if I don't 'get them out there.'

Nothing else to report other than, go see 'Under the Skin' if you get the chance. Great film. All the films I've seen in 2014 have been good so far. I've given up on your classic Hollywood multiplex films and gone back to watching independent movies only, after feeling like I saw nothing but rubbish last year. So far this year I've seen (in no particular order):

  • Twelve Years a Slave
  • The Zero Theorem
  • Grand Hotel Budapest
  • Inside Llewyn Davis
  • Under the Skin
  • American Hustle
  • The Secret Life of Walter Mitty

All good in different ways.

That's it. Go about your business. Nothing to see here.

Hello 2014

The first draft of Lady Thrillington number three is now complete. I'll start rewrites in the next few days, but I don't plan to release it for several months yet.

I need to start work on editing Stigma, the second in the Juvie books, with a view to writing the third this year and finishing the story off. I have an inkling to write something non sci-fi / fantasy / steampunk. Don't know what yet, but it's birthing in the dark recesses of my mind.

As an additional, and to keep my mind active I'm planning on reading all of Shakespeare's play this year, in the order they may (or may not) have been written. Plus take up sketching again. I have a new book and lovely new pen. I fancy looking out the window and drawing what I see.

Other than that - hello, 2014.
